All adventure must
begin somewhere: Au Revoir.
Now, upward…to Life!
How appropriate that my next big adventure should begin on a Wednesday. Naturally, a Hump Day Haiku about this new beginning was in order.
See y’all in Thailand!

yes! I have a (really long) layover in Hong Kong right now! It’s nighttime now, so there’s no much to see or do and none of the shops are open, but I will find a way to keep busy somehow. 🙂

Oh how cool to be in Hong Kong even though it’s night and things are closed… Thinking of you and sending loads of happy sunshine!

I did get to try some authentic Chinese food for my dinner, which was fun! And this place is huge and there’s so much to see. Just not so much at this time of night. 🙂 I’ll be sure to have lot of exciting things to share once I reach Thailand tomorrow morning!

Lia!!! I met someone in my teaching group that knows you and I was so excited! Thailand is beautiful and fascinating but it’s also been very overwhelming and I’m missing home a lot. I’m sure I will adjust and it will get better as time goes on.

Hi Britta ! I’m so glad she was able to give you my best wishes personally:))) I am sure these first days are indeed overwhelming and you’re feeling homesick but it will definitely get better ! Have a great rest of your day and greetings from New York straight to you!

They are so overwhelming. I’ve cried more in the last three days combined than in the last two years. It’s been a lot, but it’s so good. I needed to push myself like this. Again, thank you so much for your support. It means so much.

Oh, my God. I had such a weird dream last night. I saw myself reading one of your posts. You wrote about your last day at your job and how sad you felt. And then J wake up this morning to this post from you.
I can’t believe you’re leaving. Bon voyage. You’re brave for doing this. I’d be scared shitless.
