5 Day Challenge: Day 3

 The flowers were bright.

They were pink.

They were beautiful.

And

they sang a song of spring, of life;

a song she hadn’t heard for so long

in the throes of wintertime.

I was nominated for the 5 day photo challenge by Amy from Snapshots, Snippets and Scribbles. This challenge requires me to post one photo each day for five days, and to share a story along with each photo. The challenge also asks to nominate a new person each day to participate, but I have chosen to opt out of that part.

  1. Spring! That’s a song I can’t wait to hear. I’m sitting at my desk and my usual view of the lake is totally obscured by 4-5′ of snow. Not snow that’s been shovelled in a pile, actual accumulated fallen snow.

    1. I can’t wait to hear it again, either. These flowers were a lovely surprise in Seattle, but they’re not yet out where I live. It’s not snowy now, but we’ll probably get more before spring arrives for good. Winter can’t last forever (even though it fees like it sometimes). 🙂

      1. In my experience, winter always feels like it’s going to last forever…until suddenly it’s gone. Hopefully that will happen sooner than later this year (it’s not snowy now here and we actually had a beautifully sunny day today, but I hear more snow is supposed to come in the next week). 😦

      1. Probably closer to May. Last year, I had left school for summer (so, around early May) and the flowers still weren’t singing! It does depend though, on the year. My guess is will get a bit more snowfall before spring arrives.
