So, I know I’m not helping the very present stereotype that Minnesota is a frozen wasteland 99% of the time. This is simply not true! (See my post about Fall in Minnesota for proof)
That being said, it is very much a frozen wasteland out here today. The snow started early this morning and hasn’t let up since.
I’m not sure how I feel about this, I really don’t. I look out my window and think, “gee, that’s pretty!” but then I step outside…as the biting prairie wind seeps through my entire body, I miserably ponder about how today is only the beginning. Dear, sweet, green grass…we will meet again in May (if we’re lucky).
This week is without a doubt a major hell week for me. My senior seminar rough draft is due tomorrow (thirteen pages done…I can do this!) and another rough draft is due on Thursday for another one of my major classes. I have an exam on Friday, which I can tell you for sure I wont be studying for until Thursday night with all this writing that I have to do before that. Somehow, I ended up scheduling fifty billion different things during my oh so precious free time, so I’ve already accepted that I wont be getting much sleep this week (I already got a lecture from my Grandma today about taking care of myself when we talked on the phone for a few minutes…sorry Grandma, I don’t know how well that’s going to work out this week).
To top it all off, the blizzard of the century has hit Minnesota at full force and Morris has never gotten a snow day since I’ve been a student here. Such is life, especially when you find yourself living in the great State of Minnesota.
What do you think of winter weather? Love it? Hate it? Indifferent?
I’m not okay with the current weather. It’s not the winter that I mind, but I hate that the weather will be like this till early April.

I agree, Amelia…that is definitely the worst part of this situation!
